Working Group at the Short Conference "Shaping Schools" of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation
From November 5 to 7, the German Academic Scholarshiphttps://www.studienstiftung.de/ Foundation's annual event "Shaping School" will take place in Halle/Saale. Janne Stricker and Dan Verständig are hosting a working group on education in the digital world and will work together with the scholarship holders on educational professions, in particular teacher education. In interactive sessions, we will jointly develop positions on key challenges such as educational justice, education and the digital condition, and digitalization in education. We will derive strategies to reflect on contemporary teaching and learning.
We are very much looking forward to the exchange!
Panel Discussion at Goethe Institute Hungary
AI Network Energetics | Huge computing centers and decentralized processing units operate seemingly invisibly in the background, consuming a lot of energy and producing a not to be underestimated amount of CO2 emissions. Consequently, we are confronted with questions about how we can behave responsibly in a globally networked world, how we can make decisions to design and use the digital technologies that surround us in a more sustainable way.
These questions - and many more - will be addressed by Györgyi Gálik, innovation designer, Ágoston Nagy, artist and researcher at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, and Juliane Ahlborn, PhD student at the University of Magdeburg, in a panel discussion on "AI Network Energetics" at the Goethe Institute Hungary on October 14, 2021, 6PM.
Interested parties are cordially invited to participate in the online event. Registration is free.
