Research
The particular research interests intersecting the fields of media theory, algorithm studies and educational processes. Digital media plays a crucial role, when it comes to self-formation and the perception of world, which is more and more driven by digital technologies that impact all societal areas, political decision making and innovation.
Digital media does not only affect our understanding of the world and how we see, it is changing the way of thinking radically. Thus, the research is addressing education and the philosophy of education by means of media theory and algorithm studies.
Following a structural approach on mediality, with particular emphasis on media literacy and digital literacy, this perspective gives insights on learning and educational processes, that are closely linked to the complex interplay of different media structures and their embodied cultures.
